This project was co-financed by the European Union. Europe is committed to Martinique through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF):  

 

Extension and improvement of the Marina du Marin’s offer: Establishment of a mooring area (ZMEL) with 98 mooring buoys, some of which are equipped with eco-designed mooring buoys.
Improvement and installation of new services: Implementation of a multi-service barge in the bay of Le Marin to reduce pollution and to respond to emergency pollution incidents on the water. 

 

Energy consumption management

The Marina du Marin, aware of the impact of its activities on the environment, has set course for sustainability development with the goal of reducing its energy footprint by 50% through effective energy demand management.

 

                       

 

Environmental actions have been implanted and financed through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) : 

  • Installation of 213 “environmental” terminals across all the Marina’s pontoons to manage energy consumption.
  • Installation of photovoltaic panels producing 278,000 kWh/year to supply electricity to the pontoons.

 

inITIATE THE DIGITAL TRANSITION OF THE MARINA DU MARIN’S ECOSYSTEM 
AND IMPROVE THE SERVICE OFFERING FOR TOURIST CLIENTELE 

 

                       

 

This project has been co-financed by the European Union. Europe is committed to Martinique through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF):   

  • Deployment of fiber optic cables at the Marina du Marin: Improve connectivity at the Marina to enable the deployment of new digital services and offer a new range of services to customers.
  • Commissioning of high-performance connected computers: Allow real-time monitoring of the water area, optimize the movements of port agents and reduce the difficulty/time of certain tasks.
  • Acquisition and commissioning of an underwater drone: Enhance environmental monitoring of the Bay of Le Marin and internalize new skills. 
  • Creation of a coworking space “Blue Working“: Provide a shared workspace in the south of the island and offer an innovative environment for startups, small businesses, self-employed individuals, and companies in general.
